From a reliable source, young or old, does anybody know the number of minimum hours of sleep one should get? I had a stroke 11 years ago and I know that a well-rested body is optimal.

Do you take any sleep medication?

      Is it going to help?

It depends on your body composition but no matter what, we all need at least 7 hours a night. The CDC estimates that nearly a third of Americans are chronically sleep-deprived, even though they may feel fine. My sleep has gotten so poor since March that my doctor put me on a low dose of Trazadone last Friday. I’m now getting 8 hours without feeling drugged when I wake up and I’m already seeing a difference
