As part of the Comprehensive Cerebrovascular and Stroke Center of USC | USC Neurosciences, the Division of Neurocritical Care and Stroke is widely recognized as a leader in advanced stroke treatment, groundbreaking research and graduate medical education training.
The Center unifies cerebrovascular services from both neurology and neurosurgery to deliver seamless care, using the latest technologies and medical therapies. Our robust multidisciplinary team includes neurologists, neurocritical care physicians, and neurosurgeons, with specialties in open vascular surgery and endovascular neurosurgery, allowing for a range of treatment options. The center also comprises The Roxanna Todd Hodges Comprehensive Stroke Clinic, which offers multidisciplinary evaluation of patients for stroke and covert stroke.
The Comprehensive Cerebrovascular and Stroke Center of USC leads in stroke research, participating in innovative clinical trials and research studies, and is committed to advancing stroke treatment, prevention and rehabilitation.
The Center offers two fellowship training programs in Vascular Neurology (ACGME-accredited) and Neurocritical Care (UCNS-accredited), which provide quality training to future leaders in stroke and neurocritical care. Fellows receive training at Keck Hospital of USC, LAC+USC and neighboring affiliates.

Our mission is to provide expert evaluation and outstanding treatment for patients with complex cerebrovascular emergencies. Our goal is to provide a system of care that actively connects referring physicians and referred patients to our vascular neurologists and neurocritical care intensivists, thereby ensuring rapid evaluation, transfer and treatment.
