This is definitely worth it, I think the name just highlights survivors directly. Most of us needed to know after our experience that others have walked this path, adapted and thrived after stroke. Life after experiencing stroke must be encouraged, we humans and lean on each other. In my language we have a proverb “umuntu, ngumuntu ngabantu” ( I’m because we are)a beautiful bond of sharing which connects us. I definitely like your suggestion Joyce. Thanks George for sharing your feelings and thoughts, it has brought a great idea for us.

I agree with George on this one, talking about how the statement makes you feel would maybe help Gene aware. I wouldn’t say you too sensitive, it’s just how you feel and that must be acknowledged. See how the talk goes

it sounds like you are lonely 😔and finding it difficult to see purpose. you can contact LifeLine or SADAG, they have counselors available 24/7. you can also talk about your feelings on this platform. we here for one another

Thank you. I doubt I’m fully there (great acceptoe) but I’m willing to work on myself daily. Every moment (emotions) that feels great or bad I want to acknowledge and share it and no longer suppressing.

I think it’s very important to adjust & adapt and with the right support it is possible. The journey is not as lonely as it might feel. I think knowing that others are going through the similar experience and we can talk about this experience makes things better. Experiencing a stroke is another chance to connect with others in a different way, learn about self and thrive. Individuals shouldn’t hide or be hidden, as survivors we are a community that can still contribute. If we can stand up and be seen, heard and impact our emv

😊, the things we do to get by daily. It helped me to give it a nickname during a hectic recovery 🙂.
